Dahlia by Allen Calopisis

November 2021 - Dahlia

About the Image(s)

I photographed this dahlia and I wanted to do something different then just posting the full flower. So I halved the flower. Then I thought it would be nice as you moved to the outer rim of it to just disappear into the white of the background.

Great concept. Fade to white creates a nice perception of light.   Posted: 11/14/2021 18:30:03

Looks great. What would ti look like with a little less fading to light?   Posted: 11/17/2021 11:09:08

It looks like there is a different opinion with men and ladies in this image. I like the idea of what you have done, but I think it is overdone and I would like to see a little less fading to light. For me I would crop off the top one third.   Posted: 11/19/2021 10:31:58

Your image is lovely. I tend to agree with David and John. For me a crop along the top would make it perfect. I like the thin border you have used. It pulls everything together.   Posted: 11/20/2021 13:48:20
