About the Image(s)

This is a photo I took at the zoo. I know there is blur in the wings but it doesn't bother me. The bee is sharp to the point you can see bits of pollen and bee hair! The flower also has little hairs. Not bad for a walk by shot. My work process includes LR adjustments (I do have a custom camera profile for my camera), Topaz Denoise & Sharpen AI (I use these on most photos) and vignette. This was a cropped down a good bit

Colorful photo. I don't mind the blurry wings but am distracted by the ? blurry above the wings. Also the photo could be cleaned up a bit with removal to white dots and a line.   Posted: 07/19/2021 12:47:08

The blurry above the wings are wing motion, the line is from body movement and the little spots of "dust" are pollen. There is also a spider web visible. I was just blown away from how much detail was left that I chose to keep all the imperfections. If I were gong to use it for competition I would remove a lot of the imperfections but I like the wabi sabi!   Posted: 07/19/2021 15:47:18

Very vibrate colors, I like the motion of the bee wings. I personally would crop the bottom out, the neon green is competing with the subject too much. Crop it to the bottom of the flower pedals I think you will find it to be better.   Posted: 07/20/2021 18:31:15

Lovely colors on the flower and the blur of the wings is quite well captured. I tried cropping the green as Allen suggested but then to me it left the flower without an anchor. Did you use flash to make the background go black. I think some muted color in the background would help the image.   Posted: 07/24/2021 12:55:16

The darkness is actually from an information booth that was further back from this flower. Got lucky in that nobody was walking by when I snapped this!   Posted: 07/25/2021 18:19:12

I like the motion of the fluttering wings. Good color and focus. In regards to the bottom of the image I would consider doing away with the green color and change it to black. Possibly make the stem reddish brown in it's entirety.   Posted: 07/25/2021 18:20:04
