About the Image(s)

I had this Pink Lily in my file for a long time back but never had a chance to play with it because it required more time to fix it. Finally, I decided to do it. Here is the way I did it but I don't remember what made it overexposed?

In PS, I made a dupe layer by pressing (Ctrl+J) then I applied the multiply mode effect from the layer panel. Next, I merged down the layer by using (Ctrl+E) then I made a selection around the lily flower carefully and applied feather(1.5pt). I removed all the distractions all around using a stamp tool. After deselecting the selections with (Ctrl+D) I went to Image/adjust/color balance to enhance the image further until it clicked well-balanced to your choice and made you feel satisfied.

Good focus on the flower but I wish you had more depth of field to get the stamen in focus. I like the colors in the background.   Posted: 07/19/2021 12:55:12

What an interesting flower and I love how great the background looks. Agree with Dave about the stamen. If you had removed the out of focus part of it, I think it would make it believable. It's a very cool flower, good work!   Posted: 07/19/2021 16:03:14

Nice image would be stronger if the stamen was in focus.   Posted: 07/20/2021 18:32:20

I don't think I have seen a flower like this. I like how you intensified the colors in the flower, but like the backgground to be a bit lighter so there is more separation from the flower.   Posted: 07/24/2021 13:28:21

You did a good job of cleaning up the background. Unusual colored flower, interesting. As others have mentioned the stamen being out of focus is a disappointment but the flower itself is in good focus.   Posted: 07/25/2021 18:10:28
