About the Image(s)
Went to Maquoketa caves SP in iowa last weekend. Taken at f8, iso 302, 1/50 sec in hdr due to contrast of light and finished in photomatix.

I have lived many years in Iowa *now in PA) but have never been to Maquoketa Caves. I also use Photomatix in high contrast situations. Nice job of dealing with the extreme contrast.   Posted: 06/23/2021 11:08:57
It is so green and lush. I think the rocks colors get a greenish tone to them and to my eye it dulls them. I wish there was as much tonality range in them as you have in the foliage. I might get rid of the diagonal branch in the viewer's upper left corner. To my eye, it is a distraction. I do think this could be rendered out very artistically with some great results.   Posted: 06/24/2021 13:52:43

I believe you have a picture within a picture. Try cropping just above the elevated tree trunk. I like peeking under the arch. Great color!   Posted: 06/24/2021 14:02:15

I feel that you did a good job with this image since it was taken in what looks to be very hard light. The tree is the upper left is a distraction only because it is black and it sticks out. I agree with Priscila that there are a few images that could be cropped out of this one and would stand on their own.   Posted: 06/24/2021 18:13:49
