July 2021 - Caught by the light

About the Image(s)

This cross was caught by a beam of late, bright, winter sunlight in an otherwise very dark churchyard. I've tried to get this image on several occasions and this is the most successful attempt to date.

Very Good work. I love the beautiful use of the contrast and B&W is appeals to me for this image. I also like the composition with the left being the dominant....given worldwide we are use to reading things from left to right ...though I think in certain pictorial based languages it might be different.
Also the vertical composition works better than horizontal one , give the fact both of them are vertical. I love the image.   Posted: 07/06/2021 09:55:30

Dramatic contrasts! - in the light, and also between the stark simplicity of one and the ornate majesty of the other.   Posted: 07/16/2021 14:39:48
