May 2021 - Sakura at Champaign

About the Image(s)

With a small gift of 50 Sakura plants from Japan, the University of Illinois at Urbana and Champaign (UIUC) has created an annual wonder around a tiny human-made lake to admire and lift the spirits of countless visitors from home and abroad !!! This scene shot ten days ago is no less a miracle than those that are a thousand times larger than those in Japan. Just a plain shot chosen from countless gems on a bright sunny day.
Nikon D800, Nikkor 28-30mm Nikkor with a poliraizer filter at 1/200 Sec @ F=16.

Beautiful image with good depth of field. Emotionally , these foreground flowers (if you live in Western world or probably Japan) draws you into springtime mood. I would have chopped the foreground grasses away .   Posted: 05/06/2021 09:21:21

Very nice image, sharp and colorful . The person sitting on the bench draws your eye through the image directly to him. The only thing, I would suggest is to remove the branches on the lower bottom right side. I also would change the border to 2pix or 3pix.This would separate your image, but without drawing it into the picture.   Posted: 05/07/2021 14:45:53
