About the Image(s)

Macro. Olympus OMD EM5 iii with 60mm macro lens. There were lots of rather unusual shape snails, and then I spotted the iridescent interloper....

Nice sharp image. I rotated it a bit to increase the diagonal and dodged the brightness on the snail a bit and increased the contrast a wee bit. Nature is so amazing.   Posted: 11/06/2023 11:19:26

The image is super sharp where it should be, but great depth of field to have everything else blurred. A very simple but effective image. I do like the rotation that Hoshedar did, but don't know about the added contrast. I really like the image and complement you on seeing it.   Posted: 11/11/2023 12:32:13

Judith,Nice capture of nature, hope that bug is not in a hurry to get anywhere soon.
The leaf provides a natural setting and is part of the triangle in the photo. It is the major line in the photo and creates balance to the photos structure. The bug, the snail and the leaf are sharp, have nice colors and tones. The darkened background provides a nice separation to the 3 main parts of the image. The photo was simple but carried a lot of impact.   Posted: 11/18/2023 08:56:31

Thanks all. I will tinker with the angle when I send it in for our club's Macro competition in the spring!   Posted: 11/20/2023 03:52:41
