About the Image(s)

I took a ride up to my sister’s earlier this week. They own a beautiful property near the Sugarbush ski area. While there I took several photographs. I liked the light in this one.
I cropped it, removed the sculpture of a crane that was behind the cart. I worked a bit with the lighting, including burning the foreground in front of the metal cow.
It was extremely bright and for the first time I experimented with adjusting the exposure compensation to create underexposed images and then adjust during processing to avoid burnouts. I was quite pleased with the result.
Basic Information:
Nikon 780
Lens wide angle 10-20mm
Focal Length 18mm

This photo gives me a feeling of calm, serenity, peace...The light is not harsh, just the right amount. The light creates a beautiful effect on the lawn and on the trees in the background.I like it!   Posted: 08/03/2022 11:11:49

Such a pleasant overall ambience. The only change I would have done would be to enhance the saturation to bring out the colours in the flowers and the wood in the cart. Very pleasing.   Posted: 08/08/2022 07:35:28

A very lovely backyard. Your processing did even out the cart and the cow. It was good to have removed the crane. I like the crop to get rid of some of the bottom as the indentures in the lawn were a distraction. A very peaceful image. I am wondering if you should take out the small red flowers by the cart handle -- they seem to draw my eye.   Posted: 08/15/2022 14:57:16

Nice time of day and lighting! The crane removal was a good idea. You could select the cow and put it in the wagon! You could crop it some more; then the stonework would not be so prominent. I would also burn the highlights on it.   Posted: 08/16/2022 16:57:48
