About the Image(s)

When I traveled on the way, I found out a little girl who was so beautiful and nice - ethnic minorities. I would like to shot her beauty but it was a little bit hard for me to communicate with her, I had to contact with her by eye bought some cake for her. I used wide aperture, lens 70-200m to stand distance far from her to capture her the most nature beauty.

Good spontaneous image Helen. Emotion of the child captured well. Some breathing space around the image would have removed the boxed in feeling that it gives.   Posted: 01/12/2022 09:54:31

The eyes are what make this image. It is good that you have some catch lights in them. The unkept hair, bit of a runny nose and dirty face add to the emotions of the image. I like the lighting and the tight crop.   Posted: 01/12/2022 11:06:19

Children are great subjects ! I love her eyes and her enjoyment of your cake. A wonderful moment captured of her childhood, I will guess she will have a hard life ahead. I really like it as it is!   Posted: 01/13/2022 17:39:29

You really captured a right moment of a little girl. Her eyes, tousled hair, running nose and face expression are reflecting the society situation.
Very nice shot, I like it!   Posted: 01/17/2022 14:39:45

What a precious child sharing her emotional response for your tasty gift. Makes me wonder if her expression changed even more after a couple of bites. The eyes, are the center of attention, with the reflections of her surroundings make this image. The story of this young child having a couple of moments to take time away from seemingly hard times is well communicated Helen. I also believe your image would have benefited from included a bit more around the girl, unless they would have distracted the viewer. Very nice.   Posted: 01/20/2022 12:46:27

What a remarkable image. I think, as Hoshedar suggested, a little less cropping around the head would not detract from the image at all. Other than that, there is not one thing I would change. The image itself is an emotional hammer. I spent a year between 1969-70 around DaNang and this image brings back many memories of children caught in the brutal and unforgiving environment of a war.   Posted: 01/20/2022 13:48:55

I was not intimating the Viet Nam was currently in a war....I was reflecting on the poverty and tragedy that children find themselves in, through no fault of their own. The image moved me greatly and I had no intention of saying more than that.   Posted: 01/20/2022 13:52:38

I shot this photo in Tay Nguyen city that is a highland of Vietnam where has many minorities group of Vietnam not in Da Nang. Because I love travel so on my way of travel I shot many minorities group people. The girl is among of them, she is also minorities group As you know Vietnam has 56 minorities some of them live far from city, Vietnam is also undeveloped country so many areas are difficult poor I shot many portrait about minorities people of Vietnam, I also captured some children, elder and cultural of them. The image about their hard living touched my heart and I promise I will come back to share a part of my property, smile, heart to them   Posted: 01/20/2022 15:55:08
