About the Image(s)

Nikon Z7ii, 500 mm S prime lens, ISO 640. aperture 5.6, shutter speed 1/1600.

Great image. My only suggestion is to crop it a small bit from the right increasing the focus on the lion's face.   Posted: 10/11/2021 15:35:05

Thank you Paul. Much appreciated. Will do it. Am planning to post this image in a salon. Let us see how far it goes...!!!   Posted: 10/12/2021 03:42:39

You have a great story telling nature image. I do agree with Paul that you should crop some off the right. Let us know how it does in the salon.   Posted: 10/14/2021 13:40:25

Will do Tom. Just entered the image in a salon. Not very hopeful as I know there will be thousands of excellent entries and there is no scope for a less than perfect image. But at least I now know why it will not get accepted and that contributes to my learning. Thank you.   Posted: 10/23/2021 13:30:56

Nice animal captured. For me I would not cut off the front feet. On the right side background you might crop out a bit, but for me it doesn't attracted too much.   Posted: 10/19/2021 13:59:42

Thank you Tony. Yes I realised that I did not get the lioness in whole and her legs were not fully in. First experience with wild life and learnt many lessons from individuals such as you and other group members. Will not make that mistake again. I am not sure how to selectively change the lighting on the face and body of the lioness. Will research it. Thank you for the tip.   Posted: 10/23/2021 13:28:17

Very nice story telling image Hoshedar. In focus and offers some separation of between the subjects and the background. I would suggest considering decreasing the variation in brightness between the lion's side and her face to lessen the amount of distraction.   Posted: 10/21/2021 16:42:09

Thank you Rich. Apologies I mixed my responses. The bit about the change in lighting should have been addressed to you. Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated.   Posted: 10/23/2021 13:33:35
