July 2021 - Strawberry and Cream
About the Image(s)
I took this photo for the camera club assigned subject of "Food". I put the strawberry on some Cool Whip and used my Nikon D7200 camera and Nikon 105mm macro lens, at 1.3 seconds, f22 and ISO 200. The camera was on a tripod and I used outdoor and overhead daylight balanced light. I had a blue poster for the background. I used f22 to have depth of field. I did clean up the strawberry some and cropped in to fill the frame on the sides.

Clean, clear and crisp image. Perfect focus with good composition. Only change I would have made would be to place the strawberry at an angle. I just acquired the Nikkor 105mm macro lens and look forward to taking such images. Posted: 07/05/2021 11:20:16

The red, green, blue and cream colors made the whole image very harmonious and good composition. The reflection on strawberry is very important to showing the freshness and quality. Posted: 07/15/2021 11:29:40
Sure looks good on a hot day! Well photographed! I thought it was ice at first. you may try crushed ice and get more detail. The strawberry itself looks a bit unreal but the stem is real. Incredibly attractive, with luscious detail, red, white and blues colors, excellent depth-of-field, sharpness is very good as is composition. I also favor the reflection captured Tom. Interesting at f22 your image still maintained enough sharpness for the little hairs coming out of the strawberry. Posted: 07/17/2021 17:02:26
