About the Image(s)
This is an older image I took while in Ireland a few years ago. When I look at it I see many flaws but I am drawn to it. There is an emotional reason as well. My grandfather worked in this plant at about the time these machines were installed. He worked on the floor above sweeping barley across the warm floor to prepare it far the distilling process. I love the colors and the vibrancy but wish I had spent more time on the angles and composition. Taken at ISO 500, 1.17 at f22/41.5mm

A very nice image. I liked the way you cropped and darkened the image .The picture is clear and sharp.   Posted: 05/07/2021 11:29:59

Your story was a nice added touch Paul. I also prefer the original image. The composition is clearer. Sharp and colorful. If I may I would suggest changing the aspect ration to 4 x 5 and cropping up from the bottom. To me, the light grey walls are distracting. Overall, Paul, very nice capture.   Posted: 05/23/2021 15:13:33

I stared playing with cropping and came up with something very close to Tom's. I think all the angles and colors fit better in it. Your story is a wonderful addition. I hope they gave you a sample of the brew!   Posted: 05/23/2021 17:47:41
