Love the patterns and textures in this image. Maybe consider adding a vignette to keep the viewer's eye from wandering outside the rim of the manhole cover. I will be in Passau in mid March for a river cruise.   Posted: 11/12/2023 06:27:30

Karen, thank you for your suggestion. I just came back from my river cruise last Monday. It was a very pleasant experience, except it's been windy and rainy most of the time, but the weather didn't kill the fun. Hope you enjoy yours too.   Posted: 11/12/2023 07:21:24

I too love the patterns. It's is centered great. You might try upping the contrast just little to bring out the colors more. Nice image!   Posted: 11/13/2023 12:17:03

Happy Thanksgiving, Tom! what great find. The craftsmanship of the manhole cover is impressive. The focus looks tack sharp to me and the square crop is pleasing. Thanks for sharing this one.   Posted: 11/23/2023 17:16:40

Tom, I too share your fascination with the art of manhole covers around the world. I have several images in my collection. It is amazing how ornate some of these simple objects are. Interesting image.
