About the Image(s)
This mass of white pink variegated Prayer Plants captured my attention while admiring the tropical plants and breathing in all that oxygen at the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago, Illinois.
Shot with a Sony DCX-RS100 (hand held) with a Zeiss Lens (28-100mm) using the following settings: 10.4 focal length (in 35 mm 28mm), 1/30 sec, f/8, ISO 200.

What a fun image, Charissa! I love the hints of pink among all the shades of green. With all its lines and textures, you managed to get the one plant centrally located. Bravo!   Posted: 11/10/2023 06:03:49
I love this kind of photo. You've got some nice triangles. I also think this image does well in the square format. I like that. You might see what it looks like if you up the contrast, and lighten it just a smidge. Good job!   Posted: 11/13/2023 12:36:34
Very nice image with many artistic elements. I'm just wondering whether a vignette around the center piece could make it stand out more and thus enhance the overall impact. Also, because of the monochrome tone of this image, probably a monochrome conversion would make sense too. Just a thought.   Posted: 11/16/2023 11:08:51
Wonderful lines and shapes. I would like to see it converted to a black and white image.   Posted: 11/21/2023 16:25:26
Charissa, very interesting image. I find myself unable to fixate on any one leaf, my eye wants to take each in and examin it. For me, the different colors adds a bit of dimension to the image. The range of greens is very interesting. Even at f/8, you have a wide DOF, making each leaf sharp. Good job.   Posted: 11/23/2023 20:36:01
