About the Image(s)

I found this growing in a local public garden between the flower bed and the sidewalk. Some would call this a weed, but I found it quite attractive. I like the color of the flower and the leaves. Like the unique lines created by the stems and the leaves.
This is a 10-stack image taken at f-8, ISO 200. Exposure bias -1.7 steps. Used my 200 macro lens on a tripod.

Hi, Dick.
Beautiful "weed"! It made a gorgeous image! The gracefulness of the stems and leaves as well as the shades of red and green and the fine details upon close study all add to a great image.
Also I like the way you did not leave a lot of extra space around the edges - it made instant impact!

Hi Dick,
Very good work, the light control is just right, and the cilia of the whole flowers and branches are clearly presented. It's great   Posted: 12/16/2021 08:25:23

Hi Dick,
This is quite a success in developing this focus stacking process for this image. I agree that in such circumstances the focus should be in a maximum area possible in the photo.
The lighting is well mastered as well as the composition.
I like the black background.
Very well done !   Posted: 12/17/2021 11:04:16

Focus stacking is an amazing tool and you use it to your advantage. And dark background adds emphasis to the subject. Very nice image.   Posted: 12/20/2021 17:49:20
