About the Image(s)
I took this last August. It is a fuchsia hanging on my patio. I liked the contrast of the red and green. Used my 12-40mm lens that I love. 1/500 sec at f5.6 iso was really high at 8000. Had some noise so I took it into Topaz AI to clean that up. Cropped a little and added some contrast in PS.

Nice capture, Ruth. The brilliance of the red against the green is very pleasing to the eye. I like the square composition, however, to add a bit more balance to the image, I would add a bit to the top as the top flower is against the edge and the bottom flowers have a good amount of space to the edge.   Posted: 03/11/2025 14:34:54
Hi Ruth,
The contrast of red and green is a favorite combination for me. The details of the bottom blooms are interesting to me. I find that the suggestion of a pyramid shape in the composition adds interest. Thanks for sharing this one!   Posted: 03/24/2025 20:55:14

I agree with adding some more space at the top would give it more balance.   Posted: 03/25/2025 18:04:55

Hi Ruth - Amazing color capture. This could be a great opportunity to use some creative devices to completely blur all the background together on the "green side" so that the wonderful fuchsias stand alone in a sea of green. The detail on those 2 flowers is sensational.   Posted: 03/25/2025 19:49:36
the fuchsias are beautiful. Wish I could grow them here. I would have liked about another inch at the top of the photo. Wonderful photo.   Posted: 03/26/2025 22:01:42
