About the Image(s)

This photo was taken on a trip to Italy during a walking tour in Verona. I was using a crop sensor Nikon with an 18-200mm lens. The exposure was 1/800 @ f/8 ISO 400.
Post-processing: I first cropped using LR then used Topaz Photo AI to reduce the noise and sharpen the image. Back in LR I then used the LR's Food FD006 preset for the final image

Rich, my mouth is watering. How many did you buy? Where is the LR FD006? The only suggestions I have for you is to go through and tone down the 3 white spots on the bottom of the photos. If it was my photo I would have given it a bit more room on top (show the tops of the jars).   Posted: 05/01/2023 22:22:17

Thanks Sophia, I should have noticed them because they really stick out. I will re-crop to show more of the lids.   Posted: 05/02/2023 11:31:23

Rich, so much temptation! Great photo. Your F/8 must be your "sweet spot" (sorry for the pun - no I'm not)
Everything is in focus.
I agree with Sophia about removing the white spots on the bottom edge. Jim   Posted: 05/02/2023 09:06:04

Rick,I think Sophia said it all--mouth watering indeed! the white spots and a tiny bit more space at the top to just show the lids   Posted: 05/02/2023 09:13:31

Well spotted, many of us would have walked past this image. I agree with Sophia's comments.   Posted: 05/04/2023 04:15:24

Wow Richard, this works so well. I spent most of my time with this image choosing what I would have (went for the colorful eggs in the bottles, left hand side hoping they have chocolate inside). I felt the image could use a crop from each side while retaining some of the original top and bottom. I use some blur and burning on the background areas   Posted: 05/04/2023 17:56:59

Rick, it's an interesting subject. Just goes to show that there are fascinating photographs everywhere! I think Mark's image nailed the image. It somehow feels more balanced with his cropping and other modifications.
