About the Image(s)

After using the Auto adjustment in LR I made some additional adjustments using Viveza. Using Content-Aware in PS 2022 I was easily able to remove the extra people in the image. Final adjustments were made using Luminar NEO.

Exposure: 1/400@f11 ISO: 80 Nikon Z7 with 24-120 lens @ 24mm

What a beautiful place. The original was spoilt with all the people and I think you were right to take most of them out but leaving the two in the foreground and the one in the centre ground. In the version below I have used "Content Aware Move" to move the couple a bit more to the right and the person in the centre to the left. I also cropped a little from the bottom. This is well worth printing.   Posted: 08/01/2022 12:48:28

Thanks, David, moving those two subjects is perfect. I knew I wanted to print this one but I also knew I get the best advice from this group before printing it.   Posted: 08/01/2022 16:16:50

David, amazing results. Please tell me step-by-step how to find and use the Content Aware Move (and Content remove) tool in PS 2022. You can email me at   Posted: 08/02/2022 13:57:19

David, I tried several times to use the "Content Aware Move" tool but each time part of the subjects was left behind and the fill was terrible. I ended up copying the couple on the log onto a new layer and then used the move tool to place them in their new position. I ended up using a combination of cloning and "content aware" to remove the couple from the original position. So I too would like to know how you used the "Content Aware Move" tool.   Posted: 08/03/2022 16:46:42

Nice job Richard…made by the processing. Apart from disposing of the crowd I think you did a great job on the mountains. And I like David's suggested edit too. This image really didn't look like a keeper: but you saw the potential in it.   Posted: 08/01/2022 20:47:21

Richard, I agree. You have a photo worth printing and framing. I think that your work on the mountains is spot on, however I think you also lightened the foreground.
In Photoshop I used the selection tool for the lake and everything below it. Camera Raw filter I lowered highlights, lowered shadows, lowered whites and slight increase on saturation.

Thanks, Jim for your advice; I've David's and your suggestions and I've made a 13X19 print. Needless to say, I've very pleased with the results. This is such a great group.   Posted: 08/03/2022 20:59:02

RIck, you did a splendid job of ridding the image of that which was unnecessary for presentation and the final would make a lovely wall hanging. Good work!

I do like Jim's lightening effect

Richard, it's a wonderful image of a spectacular location. It's interesting... I couldn't think of any way to improve the image you submitted. However, I found that both David's and Jim's modifications made me like the photograph even more. Nicely done!

Great image of a beautiful location. The 2 people on the log really add to the image. I am glad that you took the others out. It does look cold!   Posted: 08/16/2022 13:33:59
