An interesting picture but for me you are too close to the subject. I would have liked to see the whole of the net and at the very least not to have cut the subjects right hand off. I'm not sure if you shot in raw and if you did I would try to get more detail in the subject.   Posted: 01/02/2022 05:27:18

Hi Richard, I agree with David. I teach people on how to throw the net for shrimping, so I really like how you captured the net open. Do you have any other photos that are not as close?   Posted: 01/04/2022 19:45:23

Richard, it's an interesting photograph. Personally, I kind of like the fact that the net seems to be covering the lady. But, I do wish that her hand was completely visible. A couple of minor suggestions... slightly crop the top of your image so that the ocean isn't visible at the top left, above the net. Also, it feels just a bit too yellow. Adding a touch of blue might be good. Here's what those two modifications might look like. Your thoughts?

Thanks Pete, I do like your image but I can't say I prefer it over my original. This was taken in the evening during the "golden hour" creating a different story for me.   Posted: 01/11/2022 10:36:33

You have handled the light well in the this image and I do like the the sun catching the net with the body in silhouette. However, I'm not crazy about the composition and in particular the missing fingers of the right hand. I think if it was shot much wider, it would be far more effective.   Posted: 01/08/2022 16:16:45

The subject presents a lovely pose --too bad her hand is slightly cut off. I do not think it needs a crop at the top but I do like what Pete has done in intensifying the blue in the image   Posted: 01/08/2022 16:51:36

Unfortunately, this was a one-time shot so not knowing what to expect I wasn't able to capture all of her right hand. I am hoping that I will be able to find a suitable hand that I can use in a composite to complete the image. Thanks all the comments.   Posted: 01/11/2022 10:31:33

You could try using "Content aware crop" then clone a hand as below. By the way I like Pete's version.   Posted: 01/15/2022 17:55:22
