About the Image(s)
Photo was cropped and sliders in Lightroom used to adjust just about everything to get the right balance of light and dark. I used the Radial Filter to lighten the house as it was very dark. The problem was the noise in the photograph. There was a considerable amount amd O used the Topaz AI filter to remove as much as possible. The problem I was unable to solve is that the house looks tilted although the horizon is straight. I tried all sorts of different angle adjustments and then decided that the house should remain as it is because I was unable to straighten it out. I do like the vastness that is captured in the photograph. That was something I really wanted to portray. The world seems very wide and vast in the photo. MV-2 is the original photo.

I love your capture and like Martin's crop. I feel the dramatic sky is not lost while having the home pop more. I think the tilt of the building gives it a wonderful precarious feeling! I just purchased Topaz DeNoise and am looking forward to using it since some in our Club have had great success with it.   Posted: 10/22/2021 15:31:50
I love the use of wide angle lenses in these types of situations.
Despite our best intentions and wanting the clouds to turn a dramtic shade of orange/pink/purple.... at sunset, they seldom comply with our wishes. In this instance, you were going for a feeling of vastness, but, in my opinion, that falls short because of the lack of color/drama in the high clouds. Consequently, the sky is not a focal point. So, the cropping that Martin has done, is, I feel, a stronger image.   Posted: 10/26/2021 08:15:59
