Skyscraper by Sharon Moir

September 2021 - Skyscraper

About the Image(s)

Skyscraper in midtown Manhattan. I was on the twentieth floor of another building and liked the clear blue evening versus the lights and grey of the structure itself. Some cropping was done and highlights darkened slightly. Done with an iphone 11 pro max.

This is a stunning shot of a skyscraper. I am so glad you did not try to alter the convergence of the vertical parallel lines. That would have looked terrible. I would like to request your permission to use this image elsewhere in these PSA Digital Dialogue conversations when discussing vertical perspective--I would always credit you.   Posted: 09/04/2021 22:37:10

I think that this is great. I like the warm lights in the building contrasting with the blue hour sky behind it. The perspective and composition works well to make this an impressive image.   Posted: 09/11/2021 07:55:32

Nice! The perspective makes it soar into the evening sky. I might crop the bottom up just a smidge to take out that blue office light in the lower left corner, just because it is a small distraction and I don't think it would change the overall photo.   Posted: 09/13/2021 12:25:31

It was fun playing with the editing on this pic for a pop photo version.   Posted: 09/19/2021 16:43:51

I love architectural photography. I am studying it for my next project. Bright tall building at blue hour makes me excited.   Posted: 09/20/2021 22:00:32

Great how the lines run the eye up the building. Fine detail and tones throughout the image.   Posted: 09/21/2021 15:42:48
