About the Image(s)

Common Kingfisher is the migratory bird in Singapore. Most of these small birds usually arrive in Singapore in late August every year and stay near the lakes for fishing. This image was taken in "Satay By The Bay" last year.

This is the most beautiful Kingfisher I have ever seen. Our Kingfishers here in Florida are no where near as beautiful as yours. Image is exposed perfectly and love the slight turn of the head. Might have burned the left portion of the rock slightly. WELL DONE.   Posted: 09/05/2021 11:47:59

Love the crispness of the image and the beautiful subject. Agree with Tom on the beauty of the bird. Amazing catchlight. Wondering why the feathers are a bit blurred above the right leg?   Posted: 09/07/2021 09:15:48

WOW! The eye catches you immediately. As Tom said, the slight turn of the head helps make the shot. I've never seen a kingfisher with those colors.   Posted: 09/08/2021 12:13:40

Another great shot of one of your birds. I do agree about toning down the rock. You might burn in the top of the beak a little too.   Posted: 09/12/2021 20:54:31

A bird with attitude! Beautiful. As stated, kingfishers here in the western US are not this colorful and, very hard to catch in a photo. Yes, perhaps tone down the rock a bit, but otherwise, a perfect catch.   Posted: 09/13/2021 12:32:01

The colors, detail, sharpness, position in frame and blurred background are just about perfect. Nothing more to add.   Posted: 09/21/2021 15:49:34
