About the Image(s)
This image was made at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania a few years ago. It's a portion of a stone step with what I think is an eye-attracting fill-in of a space or damage. Processing done with Adobe ACR & PS - small crop on left, removal of some debris, tweaking of highlights, shadows and luminance. Nikon D300s, Sigma 150mm macro lens, f/16, 1/4, ISO-100, no flash, handheld.

Hi Bill
The lines, texture, and colors within the stone add interest. Well composed. You managed to capture all the colors and texture nicely.   Posted: 02/13/2021 10:33:34

The detail feels very sharp, and the composition feels great. Because there was no flash, you don't have any inappropriate highlights, and I feel the color balance is just right. Might I suggest just one thing? I felt that it is somewhat dark overall, so maybe raise the exposure just a bit? Or maybe just the white point. Great job, though!   Posted: 02/15/2021 18:17:13
I think this is a pleasant abstract macro photo. The original has interest but doesn't have much impact for me, and Tom's variant is much more striking I think.   Posted: 02/21/2021 01:37:58
