About the Image(s)

Here's another image that I took in the city of Trinidad, Cuba 2 years a ago. The image was taken in early morning hours thus the high ISO. In Lightroom I cropped the image slightly and lightened the shadows about one f stop. I also added some Luminance smoothing.

Shot with a Canon 6D and Tamron 28-300 mm lens at 222mm. ISO 6400, 1/320 second at f 8.

Nothing negative about the high ISO. It must have been pretty early. Good exposure, good contrast, color and composition. I do not see much difference in the original and the submitted version. It tells a story.   Posted: 10/04/2020 15:05:17

A typical street scene that tells a story. A candid shot of two friends having a serious discussion. I love how you were able to capture the serious expression on his face. Tried to do a little adjustment to darken the background a little bit to put more emphasis on the main subjects using selective luminousity masking with Raya Pro 5 then adjusting the curve level in Photoshop. Great shot Lou...   Posted: 10/05/2020 04:40:09

Thanks for the suggestion, I did not think of doing that. I think it improves the image.   Posted: 10/06/2020 06:50:16

What a cool capture. I had to look at it several times. So unusual for a man in Bermuda shorts and no shirt to be walking in a neighborhood. Very nice expressions and an incredible story. Nice job! Love it.   Posted: 10/05/2020 09:23:11

Maybe because of the hot weather. Such scenes used to be fairly common here in the Philippines until some city mayors started imposing fines for being shirtless outside their residences.   Posted: 10/06/2020 12:20:53

A fine candid street shot with lovely soft lighting.   Posted: 10/05/2020 19:56:58

Great photo that does indeed tell a great story. The composition and exposure also helps the story stand out. The eye contact from the gentleman to the left also adds to the shot.   Posted: 10/06/2020 07:32:25

Great street shot just what I look for, I think Albert's adjustments really adds to it. Well done. Regarding previous discussions this sort of shot in a public place from further away is fine in my opinion.   Posted: 10/07/2020 21:47:30
