About the Image(s)

I don't remember where I was when I took this but it was just luck that I was there when the bride and groom went by in their carriage. I like the other person taking a photo and I especially like the look from the groom. What a happy day for them. Camera Canon 7D, Canon EF-S 17-85 lens at 72mm. ISO 400, f5.6 1/200 second. In Lightroom I added some clarity and sharpening and using a brush tool I adjusted the exposure on the flowers and slight cropping.

I love how the groom is connecting with you, he is obviously very proud and happy. Weddings are timeless, but the mobile phone places it in time. A lovely street scene.   Posted: 12/04/2019 18:13:26

Great street photo. It has it all. Color, contrast, sharp, compostion are all spot on in my view. No help to add.   Posted: 12/04/2019 18:18:46

I like the connection with the groom - he looks over the moon. Good sharpness through the main subjects makes them stand out from the blurred background. The soft lighting brings out the character in the faces without being harsh.   Posted: 12/07/2019 16:41:45

The exposure on this is perfect. The person taking the cell phone photo and the beaming glance of the groom really makes this image. I also like the woman in the background who is oblivious to the whole scene. Makes it a real street photo. Very nice.   Posted: 12/08/2019 17:42:02

Awesome Image. Crisp and vivid with a simple story and connection with the subject. The aded bonus of the person taking a picture/video is just icing on the cake.

This is a great street catch.
I rotated it 2 degrees right to straighten the lines of the stone building behind.
Now let me imagine what I cannot possibly know, but it is fun for me to launch my brain into that mode when I see an image with "possibilities." The woman is significantly older than the man, probably. He is very handsome and has a winning smile. I imagine he is smiling like that because he is a fortune-hunter and is marrying a rich woman. Entirely imaginary--but perhaps a little possible. Not to be sexist, perhaps she is smiling because she has bought herself a good-looker. Orrrr, they are just a happy couple.
P.S. Suppose you had titled this, "A Good Catch." That would then suggest my imaginary story, perhaps?   Posted: 12/11/2019 14:10:51

I like the title suggestion. Thanks for straightening the image, I never noticed that.   Posted: 12/11/2019 14:29:48

In some situations, I think titles are really important, and combine with the images to tell a story. I don't think that all images should stand on their own without titles.   Posted: 12/11/2019 14:35:12
