About the Image(s)

Ronald Bog Park
This was taken at a small park not far from my house. It's gone through a great deal of renovation over the last year or so and my wife and I wanted to see what they had done with it. This trail and fence is new and made for a nice leading line pointing toward the "X" sculpture and tree.
Image was taken with a full-spectrum Sony A6500 with a 530 nm filter attached to a Sony 18-105 f/4 lens.
f/14, 1/250 second, ISO 400. Tripod was used. Processed in Lightroom and On1 Effects 2021. In Lightroom, I straightened and cropped the image, then used a custom camera profile and custom white balance along with some basic exposure adjustments. I used the channel mixer in Effects along with dynamic contrast and added a slight vignette. Did some cleanup in Photoshop as well.

So that is the "X" marking the spot! I like the leading lines of the fence and path. I do find the image rather flat except that of the clouds. Perhaps use of LR Adjustment brush for variation in exposure and even color. I am also puzzled by what appears bright sunlight in the foreground, midground and trees somewhat inconsistent with the density of the cloud cover.   Posted: 04/19/2021 16:23:03
