About the Image(s)

I use a Canon T5I with a Super Color IR (590nm) filter from LivePixel. My IR images are uploaded using the Canon EOS Utility and viewed in Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4. A custom white balance was set before shooting with a white card so the WB was not changed prior to converting to a 16 bit .tif file.

The image was loaded into Photoshop and a LivePixel Action " IR Adjust w/Channel Swap" was run. Within PS’s, Adjustment-Hue/Saturation, Strong Saturation

was selected and the Cyan saturation changed to -77 and Lightness to +60. Continuing in PS, clean up was doneā€”cropping, clone stamp, paint brush to remove distraction

I love the couple. I don't tend to think of IR with people like this, but it works so well! Holding hands, their feet in action, so serendipitous!

I would also consider cropping the right side out

The bright spot on the left closer to us does bother me a tad though.   Posted: 11/25/2020 20:21:19

Thanks for the comments. I agree with the upper left corner being a little bright. With regard to the right side, I left it in to draw attention to them "taking the road less traveled" but when I look that the title here, "path" that aspect is lost. I honestly do not remember what I titled this when submitted here but when posted to my and the Digital Infrared Photography Facebook pages I got the title correct. Must be a case of brain fade.   Posted: 11/26/2020 07:25:08

I also like the composition very much. The two paths with the couple on the left one makes an interesting composition. The focus and DOF is very sharp. Do you remember where you focused and the f/stop? The bright left edge is a little distracting to my eye and could be toned down.   Posted: 11/26/2020 11:59:03

I think the focus was on the tree between the two paths. I did shoot a number of images as they walk away and was fortunate to get one where they were in line with the tree.   Posted: 11/26/2020 12:04:38

Ditto comments made above. Also enjoy how the color of his hat and her hair support the color of the leaves. Nice color palette.   Posted: 11/26/2020 15:14:14
