I like the sharp focus present in your image. Good camera and LR work.

Question: is your T3i converted or are you just using a screw on B&W filter in front of your lens? I have a LivePixel conversion and have a heck of a time to get get a good focus with other another lens.   Posted: 06/12/2020 08:54:33

Yes, my T3i is fully converted to IR 830 (Deep B&W)by LivePixel. I do not use any external filters. With the internal filter used in the conversion, I capture no color at all other than a red tent to the raw file. My images are all B&W. It might seem that this conversion is too limited in what you can do, but my interest is to use IR to achieve the best B&W I can. My adjustment set the focus compensation for use with any lens. I first use autofocus and then fine tune focus using live view and manual focus.   Posted: 06/12/2020 11:07:25

Your capture shows bright light and good contrast; just what IR needs to pop! The detail in the foliage to the left and the clouds are marvelous.

Did you set a custom WB on the lawn there? And are you saying you shot with the liveview monitor showing B&W? Or the usual red tint IR preview image?   Posted: 06/12/2020 16:52:59

Yes, I set a white balance by taking a picture of the grass filling my viewfinder and used it to create a custom white balance. In live view, (if I remember right)I do see the image as it appears in my original photo as shown. I really have payed little attention to that and now have to try to remember. I do have AGE syndrome.   Posted: 06/12/2020 17:17:43

I have recently set my liveview to display in B&W and feel focus is easier for me without the heavy red tint. Time will tell.   Posted: 06/12/2020 17:20:24

The only thing I would to improve it clone/content aware fill out the garbage pail thingy in the driveway.   Posted: 06/21/2020 00:10:24
