Late Season Bloom by Andrea McLaughlin

February 2021 - Late Season Bloom

About the Image(s)

Taken with my Nikon D4S. I took this photo late last fall; it was the last round of dahlia blooms. I really like the fact the flower is just starting to open and the green leafy background. f3.3, ISO 200, 105mm.

Focus is great, you can almost see the flower opening. Love the soft greens in the background. Is it possible to get the flower brighter?   Posted: 02/06/2021 08:48:56

Great sharp image of a beautiful flower. I love the soft green background. I wish that I could see the background toned down, and the flower a bit brighter.   Posted: 02/09/2021 21:33:43

Beautiful flower nice and sharp. If you use Lightroom you can use the healing brush to brighten the flower and tone down the background, or you could try darken the greens and lightening the reds.   Posted: 02/17/2021 16:14:28
