About the Image(s)

Sony A9ii, Sony 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 at 289mm. ISO 3200, SS 1/800s, F5.6. This 1,000 lb. bull elk also had 10 cows in his harem in early November (still rut season), so I gave them all plenty of room as they can be very aggressive.

Great catch. Love the colors. The only thing I would eliminate if it is allowed in a nature group is that little white spot on the lower right corner.   Posted: 02/04/2021 10:21:00

Good catch Ginny. It is distracting. Thanks   Posted: 02/04/2021 11:11:53

That was not my comment! I too tend to look at what is the center of interest and don't see the things getting in the way. I love this guy! his posture makes him look lovesick. Did you work on making his eye stand out so nicely? Could we see the original?

The bushes create a natural frame for him.   Posted: 02/05/2021 14:52:47

Great capture, I also love the framing of the brush. Beautiful pose of the elk. You are allowed to burn in nature,I would burn the bright spot in the corner.   Posted: 02/09/2021 21:29:07

Great capture, really like the pose and focusing. The only thing I would like to see is more of the rear feet.   Posted: 02/17/2021 16:04:29
