Monarch Butterfly by Andrea McLaughlin

November 2020 - Monarch Butterfly

About the Image(s)

This photo was taken during a trip to a field of sunflowers. It had been raining on and off all day, which is why the sky is grey. This butterfly was very patient and allowed me to take several photos before fluttering off. ISO 200 70mm f/9.

Lovely! The Monarch and the sunflower he is on are very sharp. It looks like you painted him! The bright pale green leaf is distracting, can you darken it?   Posted: 11/05/2020 16:17:45

I agree with Ginny, very nice image. I would also darken the sky to draw the viewer further into the butterfly and its flower. Gorgeous.   Posted: 11/07/2020 14:52:45

Very nice color and sharp focus. I do agree that darkening the sky would add to the photo. Love the Monarch and the Sunflower on its own.   Posted: 11/17/2020 23:25:08

I to agree with Ginny comment. You could crop in to remove the sky it would give it a different look?   Posted: 11/22/2020 17:04:02
