Hatteras Inlet by Donna McFarland

November 2020 - Hatteras Inlet

About the Image(s)

The attached photo is Hatteras Inlet. It was taken at f/1.8, 1/3400, 35MM focal length, no filter. It was a bright day with lots of clouds. Post processing was adding a touch of warmth and slight adjustment reducing exposure.

Nice sharp focus. The dead tree and bushes on the right draw my eyes to the ocean and sky. Love the way the clouds mimic the motion of the water.   Posted: 11/01/2020 13:21:54

Beautiful composition, my only comment is the horizon appears a bit high on the left. Great capture.   Posted: 11/07/2020 14:50:47

Thanks Dan. Yes, I agree the horizon is a bit high on the left. I wonder too if I should soften the contrast. I really didn't do much post processing as I wasn't even sure the photo was working.   Posted: 11/17/2020 23:22:04

Great picture. I really like how the water and the sand mesh together in the background around the brush along with the soft wave.   Posted: 11/21/2020 20:16:06
