Anything To Get The Last Berry by David Bornmann

June 2020 - Anything To Get The Last Berry

About the Image(s)

Nikon D70 1/1250 @ f14 ISO 1,000.

This is an oldie from 2005. We usually get Robins to clean out the berries on our Holly Tree. This year it was Cedar Waxwing. This reminds me a little of what we are doing to try to stay safe these days.

This bird should apply to Cirque du Soleil. He really wants that last berry! The focus is so sharp! I love seeing the yellow tips on the Cedar Waxwing's tail. Is there anyway of minimizing the twigs in the background that distract from the bird and the berry? They had to be in the photo but can you minimize them?   Posted: 06/09/2020 09:47:37

Nice composition, and good catch. You also might try to lighten the bird's head and draw the viewer into the eye area.   Posted: 06/09/2020 10:37:24

Real nice composition. The bird is in good focus. I do not know for sure but it seems to be a lot of noise in the photo, if so could use some noise reduction. Nice photograph.   Posted: 06/10/2020 20:06:16

This is a determined little guy! I agree there seems to be a fair amount of noise in the photo. Overall, great photo!   Posted: 06/23/2020 11:50:17
