Ginny, I think this is a very nice capture of a difficult subject. I can never get the right angle but you have here. To my eyes though, if the picture were cropped square, with the lily placed exactly in the center, then it would remove a lot of that left hand leaf that is not in sharp focus and if you darkened down the reflection on the same leaf, then I believe that you have a better image. My eyes tend to be distracted to that one leaf.   Posted: 08/13/2019 21:39:21

Very nice photo, Ginny. I really like the colors in this photo. I do agree, that I think if the lily was in the middle of the photo, it would add to the overall photo. Overall, great photo!   Posted: 08/14/2019 09:28:15

This lilly popped right out at me. I was not distracted by the leaf until someone mentioned it. Maybe it could be darkened a little. I was wondering if the flower had the whiten highlights or did you do something to get that effect.
I like it very much.   Posted: 08/14/2019 17:36:55

Great shot. The colors look almost like watercolors. Good saturation in the yellows. I usually have trouble with the yellows. I like the off center placement. It makes it look syncopated.   Posted: 08/18/2019 09:44:54

Good composition and the colours are lovely . I do believe that you could have added a little texture to the petals to make them stand out.
And may I add: some more could be added to the "About the Image" I frequently remind members to remember the guidelines (at the top of your home page)...
