August 2019 - Cerval Cat

About the Image(s)

This was taken in Tanzania in February, - hard to find because it comes out in the evening and the parks close at 6pm. Very lucky to see it. Major zoom on Lightroom.
Canon- ISO 800, F8, 210mm, 1/1000sec

Great shot. I like the detail in the fur and the eyes. Great exposure and composition.   Posted: 08/11/2019 09:09:38

Creates a great impression. Can't take my eyes off the cat! Very sharp, I can see every hair. There are so many colors on one cat!

My eyes are distracted on the right by the background when everything else in the photo is the cat.   Posted: 08/11/2019 11:15:59

I noticed myself and agree with right side background- any ideas? cropping would make it uneven in picture; if I use photoshop and add in more cat, it would be awkward. Any suggestions?   Posted: 08/11/2019 15:53:39

Ginny- I went back and took out the green on the right with cropping. It is a smaller photo but looks slightly better, thank you for your comment   Posted: 08/12/2019 13:18:06

Linda, I did not see the first image but this one with the crop, I believe it has the wow factor that grabs your attention. The eyes have it, they get your attention and they hold it. I find it is threatening and I don't want to look away, I dare not look away. I think it is stunning, well done.   Posted: 08/13/2019 21:46:45

Nice shoot. A little too close for my taste.   Posted: 08/18/2019 09:46:30
