Welcome Robyn to the group! This image is a fantastic start.
This is a great bird action shot where the prey and the manner of how it tosses it before its final gulp is well documented. Clear background, sharp eyes and nice lighting on the bird, makes this a special image.   Posted: 02/08/2021 20:20:51

Thank you. I was worried that the tail of the bird wasn't in focus, so therefore wasn't a good competition image - your thoughts?   Posted: 02/12/2021 00:01:33

Very nice picture, very simple, with the bird on the branch with nice light in the eye, and the insect in the beak, no annoying background.   Posted: 02/15/2021 07:43:40

Welcome Robyn.
Nicely done. Your immediately attracted to the bird and the bee in its beak. The colours are great. The composition is well handled and the background is not at all distracting. The out of focus tail feathers are a bit distracting.   Posted: 02/15/2021 10:43:41

Yes welcome to the group.
Very nice shot and you captured the moment. Yes the tail is a bit out of focus but not an issue for me since this is not a competition. Good color and exposure and yes it would probably be better if the bird was facing us in the image, other wise you got it. Very nice   Posted: 02/15/2021 16:34:49

An outstanding nature shot. Certainly rare to capture the bee in full flight inside the bird's beak. Even with the out-of-focus tail, this might do well in PSA Nature competition because of the interaction of bird and prey.   Posted: 02/26/2021 11:22:29
