About the Image(s)

We were in the Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania in late September 2017. All of the males turn pink when they are looking for a mate. If they find a responsive female , they do a very unusual dance The mating ritual can go on for hours. Equipment was a Nikon D7200 300mm, 1/250 @ f6.3 iso 1600

Alan,

Nice shot. Sharp, well exposed, good action. I have never seen am Ostrich in Breeding Plumage before. Not in a zoo or even on TV.   Posted: 11/10/2019 20:03:09
