About the Image(s)
Phu Quoc is a Vietnamese island off the coast of Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand. It's known for white-sand beaches and resorts, most of which are along the palm-lined southwest coast. This picture I took from Sheraton Hotel and Resort when attending a friend's daughter wedding on January 2023. I was waiting for a small boat traveling between the umbrella to get a good shot. I did some basic adjustment on ACR and replace sky in PS with very lLens FE240105 F4, Focal 105mm: Exposure 1/80s; f/18 ISO-100

Very good choice to change from a silhouette! I like the magical number of 3 umbrellas and the fishing boat under one. The tree palms nicely pprovide a top border. I have attached an image where I have added drama to the clouds and taken out the distratcions of the other boats on the water. The center umbrella even has 3 chairs under it! Magical, magical! Your travels sure take you to intersting areas.   Posted: 03/24/2023 14:18:25

Hi Quang. Its a nice clean image. Trey's changes have improved the simplicity of your image and I would be tempted to try a very light vignette at the top and sides to hold the viewers focus.   Posted: 03/25/2023 23:33:37

Thank you for sharing this beautiful photograph from Phu Quoc! I can see why it's known for its picturesque white-sand beaches and lovely resorts. You've managed to capture a truly inviting scene, and I can imagine how special that wedding must have been.
In my opinion, this photo definitely falls under the category of travel photography. Your composition is quite appealing, with the three umbrellas evenly distributed, providing a sense of balance to the image. The small boat you waited for adds an interesting element that brings the scene to life.
As for the tree on the right-hand side, perhaps you could try adjusting your position slightly to the left to minimize the obstruction to the umbrella if you feel it would improve the composition.
Overall, I think you've done a great job capturing the essence of Phu Quoc, and your adjustments in ACR and PS have certainly enhanced the image. Thank you for sharing your work with the group, and I look forward to seeing more of your photographs!

I am recollecting my days of posting at Goa, India for its similarities. The calm atmosphere of sea-shore has been represented in this shot.
One thing seems to be missing. A human element may be required to sit on the benches to enjoy the views of a single boat floating on the sea. Otherwise, this is peaceful show of scape photography.   Posted: 03/26/2023 11:34:04

Your image encompasses stillness, tranquility, and a very warm day. It is a beautifully balanced composition. You might want to soften the blown-out whites in the sky and the water.   Posted: 03/28/2023 09:43:20
