About the Image(s)

Cotton flowers blowing in the wind at the foot of Kirkjufell, or 'Church Mountain', is a distinctly shaped peak found on the north shore of Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula, a short distance away from the town of Grundarfjörður. Did not have to do much post processing here, just a bit of selective color.
EXIF: Canon 5D mark iv, 16-35, ISO 100, f/22 at 1/40sec

Rajani, to my eye this is very good composition - both left to right and top to bottom. I feel that you have created three good - and balanced - fixation points for the viewer's eye in the mountain, the sunburst and the blowing cottonflower patches. I think you have captured the overall contrast and color well.

In finishing the image, in my opinion, you might consider a bit more contrast (not much) to the cloud in the sky.

Good image!   Posted: 01/07/2020 07:07:13

Thank you Gary, yes, contrast would help I think.   Posted: 01/08/2020 20:26:22

Interesting image. I like the way your shutter speed allowed some movement of the fuzzy seeds but froze other subject matter. I agree with Gary about the sky. The highlights as I see them on my monitor may be a tad too bright?   Posted: 01/07/2020 20:07:53

I really like your composition and find the subject very interesting. Also the sunburst works well with this image. I agree with the others that some contrast would help and also maybe a bit of saturation and/or vibrance.   Posted: 01/11/2020 11:08:58
