About the Image(s)

I took this with a DJI Mavic Pro drone. 1/400 sec at f2.2, ISO 40, I captured the image in RAW format. In Lightroom I cropped some of the bottom off the image, sharpened it and added a little dehaze. I also modified the color, the color of the Maumee River is not good for photos.

In my opinion the depth of field, sharpness and contrast are spot on. I feel that the placement and angle of the bridge draw the viewer's eye into the image and holds it there on the bridge.

To my eye the green in the river seems too saturated and a bit unrealistic. From my experience a good way to adjust a "dirty" river look is to use LR adjustment to paint in at about 25-30% opacity a blue layer that is in the lightest 1/3 of the blue spectrum. I think that the exposure of the image could be slightly reduced.   Posted: 11/04/2019 14:53:23

Hi Gary, thanks for the comments and suggestion. I'll give your suggestion a try, I agree that the water doesn't look right.   Posted: 11/04/2019 15:19:32

What a great find and I like the crop on the image. I agree with Gary on the brown water below. To my eye, I would darken the bridge in LR and bring out its detail as that is the focal point of the image. What an exciting image to work on!   Posted: 11/04/2019 15:27:54

I do like this image Lou. I agree with the others that the green water does not look very natural. I like the composition and the clarity of the trees in the background is spot on.   Posted: 11/09/2019 10:55:36
