About the Image(s)
Travel in the Landmannalaugar highlands region is only possible for a few months in summer and is one of the reasons I went back to Iceland in summer but the weather gods were not smiling even though I went back twice here. Got a small break in rain, to get this picture after waiting about 4 hours, though this light does not do justice to this place. Hnausapollur, also called Bláhylur (Blue Pool), is one of two crater lakes of the Veidivotn System. Hand held image since I had to hike all the way to the top of a steep mountain to get this shot. Canon 5D Mark iv, 16-35, ISO 100, f/11, 1/125th sec.

For me this image invokes a desire to have been there with you for this shot. In my opinion you have done an excellent job with exposure, depth of field and contrast.I believe that the strong mid-ground "lake" which transitions the foreground to the background nicely is completed by the small rocks in the foreground and the mountains and clouds in the background. To my eye the color of the lake draws and holds the viewer's eye and is the main fixation point - I see no distractions.
I feel that the only possible improvement might be to move the mountains just behind the lake a small bit away from the yellow/green portion of the color spectrum toward the magenta/blue portion.

Wonderfully done, the sky is wonderful in contrast to the scene below it. The circular motion of the image keeps drawing my eye back in to the lake. Fantastic!   Posted: 11/04/2019 15:14:14

I think this image is mesmerizing. I love all the colors and how you have handled them, especially the sky. I like the placement of the mountain off center and on one of the power points. You made an excellent original image to work with. Nicely done!   Posted: 11/04/2019 15:25:42
Beautiful Image Rajani .Very nice color tone and lovely details in the far hills. The lake is the main focus point and the green color rock formation looks very pleasing to my eye .Hats off to you for the hike and waiting to get the perfect shot.   Posted: 11/05/2019 12:23:33

Very nice image! I really like the composition. The color of the water is fantastic. The final result was well worth the effort to get the shot.   Posted: 11/09/2019 10:58:09

This image has power. It places the viewer in a location to see the lake, adjoining mountains and the distant mountains. The green tones in the lake are echoed in the distant mountains and sublimely in the clouds. This image tells all of us why we are passionate about landscape photography. Magnificent work.   Posted: 11/12/2019 16:53:24
