About the Image(s)

This image was taken many years ago and this is the processed image back then. I don't have the original image so can't get the info on specs I shot it at. Again, used Topaz Studio to paint the image and final adjustments in Lightroom. I liked the linear patterns contrasted with the cylinder bales. There was a hint of fog at the tree line.

I feel a real connection to this image having grown up helping on a dairy farm - it brings back many memories. To my eye the "harvesting lines" and the finished bales are a great use of shapes and provide fixation points for the viewer's eye. For me the colors are balanced, work well in harmony and are correctly shown in the image.

To my eye this image might work well as a vertical image, especially if a bale in the center foreground could be moved, or could have been placed as shown by the blue line in my VF. I feel the image could then be cropped as shown by the red lines. I believe that this would have the viewer's eye then travel along the green lines - leading it into the picture. Just a thought.

Either way, good job!

What a beautiful image you captured with such simple subjects. The contrast of golds and yellows with the blues is very pleasant. Hundreds of people could walk by this scene and with many not appreciating the beauty you captured. My eye wants to move the large roll of hay at the center, left-side of the image more toward the middle line and a bit lower, but I am not sure doing this makes a better composition.   Posted: 08/04/2019 16:22:31

This is a very beautiful image. The composition is great and the colors are very nice. I would try the image without the foreground bale on the left. I think that it would open up the rest of the image.   Posted: 08/05/2019 09:16:02

I think this is a very nice image. I think the cool blues and warm yellow/oranges make this a very relaxing photo. In my view the image has a softness to it that gives it a painterly look.   Posted: 08/07/2019 17:47:54

Lovely image Trey, simple but has the quality of an impressionist painting. I like how you have used Topaz to amplify the brush strokes kind of effect.   Posted: 08/30/2019 17:19:52
