About the Image(s)

This was taken last week at a small private auto wreckers. I converted to B&W as the only colour was some rust on a few of the rims. Tech: 1/60; f6.3; ISO 100; 24mm

I adore shots like this. I shoot "jumbles" a lot myself. Your b/w choice makes this very effective.   Posted: 10/01/2019 22:27:30

Hi Graham,

Black and white was definitely the choice for this one! Lovely tones with no hot spots and interesting shapes and patterns - I like it a lot!   Posted: 10/03/2019 17:27:50

Graham really neat composition! Alternatively, I would love to this particular composition with extreme contrast. Not sure it would work, but my feeling is leaning that way.

Again, really cool image and balanced, but my primary reason to suggest this is to bring more drama into the scene - for aluminum wheels - in this particular composition and space, well, I feel it needs more visual weight. :)   Posted: 10/04/2019 16:10:50

Hi Graham, not sure if you received my original comments, as they are not posted here. To reiterate from memory, I really like this image. It contains a nice range of tonal values. You might be able to punch it up, slightly with a combination of the clarity and contrast sliders in Lightroom, which will enhance the shine of the chrome, if you intend to print on metallic paper.   Posted: 10/06/2019 06:54:10
