About the Image(s)

In Superimpose X I added there layer of a simplified sunrise over the surfers. I moved the sunrise layer and stretched it to where I wanted the accent to be. I then went through the blending modes until I liked the effect. I think I also reduced the opacity of the sunrise a little. I always save as a png. so after resizing the pictures in "Image Size". I couldn't see where to change the image to a jpg. I cheated and took it into Photoshop on the computer to make it a jpg. will have to look into how to do that on my phone!

What a remarkable composite! I love the brilliant colors and your results, especially with the buildings in the back. However you came up with the idea, it all fits. The only small spot I go back-and-forth on is the area around the top of the head. I, personally, would reduce the strength of the shadow there.   Posted: 04/08/2021 17:45:15

Wonderful creative effect, Phill. I do agree with Belinda's comment about that little shadow.

It looks like Superimpose X offers blending modes like in Photoshop? I will have to try it out!   Posted: 04/09/2021 10:00:07

Yes, unfortunately it is only for iOS systems. A couple of years ago I wrote to them and asked if they would make it for Android Systems as well but they said it was too hard! Android systems can access an older version but it is very weak.   Posted: 04/09/2021 23:10:26

Very creative image! The composite of the sunrise and the surfers have created a dreamy effect to the scene, and the waves turn to be silky with the radial blur effect. I agree with Belinda that the shadows on top of the 2 ladies' heads should be removed. I especially like the cities in the distance.   Posted: 04/10/2021 14:25:31

The original sunset image is wonderful; so calm and peaceful. The combining of the two images is a great idea and you did a tremendous job. I agree with the others about the shadows.   Posted: 04/16/2021 10:26:35

Wow! This one is inspiring. The golden sunset really enhances the overall look of the surfer and energizes it in a beautiful way.   Posted: 04/18/2021 10:12:43

My first impression: I sort of thought of this as reminiscent of Easter, with the cross-shape made by the surfer and upright body and the sunshine behind. You did a masterful blending of the two images, Phill.   Posted: 04/18/2021 12:55:08
