They seem to be very relaxed to you being so close to them. You have filled the frame nicely. I'm wondering if you were a little too close to them as the feather detail doesn't seem to be there?   Posted: 02/07/2021 23:35:18

Perhaps you are right Phillipa, I totally see what you mean. Thanks.   Posted: 02/17/2021 15:43:29

Lovely birds and interesting markings on the right one. The Galaxy 20 is a fantastic phone! Were you zoomed in at all? I would never be so lucky to get them to stay still. I would increase the brightness to help open up and separate the dark feathers and eye of the duck on left. If you enjoy these types of nature shots, I'd go back again. A different angle on a brighter day might get more details and the catch-light in their eyes.   Posted: 02/08/2021 11:05:18

I do periodically revisit that spot hoping to get lucky. And, yes, I was zoomed in a bit. I am trying to get better with my animal shots so I am trying to get lots of practice.   Posted: 02/17/2021 15:45:26

I think you're doing great. This is nicely composed!   Posted: 02/18/2021 09:08:54

Nice composition! The ducks' feather colors are so beautiful. I guess that they are a male and a female duck, and it's said that the male always has nicer color and appearance (such as lion, peacock). With that, I assume that the colored one is a male duck and the B&W is a female one.
The heads of the ducks are quite sharp. I'd prefer to sharpen their bodies a bit more.   Posted: 02/19/2021 06:03:09
