Phillipa, I love your creative imagination. At first glance I thought this might be fireworks. No one would guess that this is superimposed and over an image of trees! I love the numerous explosions and the perfectly crisp starlights. I can see a clash, a dance, but I'd love to know why you chose 'Samurai'. It's exciting and electric!   Posted: 05/12/2020 10:03:29

Hi Belinda, I had recently seen some crazy movie about the Japanese Samurai and I saw how the sparkles Seemed to be clashing swords..... hence the name of the image! I guess it's more of a fun image than a more serious one! Phill   Posted: 05/12/2020 17:12:14

While the trees seem to have vanished, I like the effect of the sparklers, like fireworks. Was the drawing of trees a picture you drew? On a cell phone? I can see a hint of them in the background, but it's quite dark on dark. I assume you shot the sparklers and then sandwiched them on layers, right?   Posted: 05/27/2020 13:44:27

Hi Pat, I painted the trees on paper, took a photo with my phone, reduced the colour and saturation in Superimpose then added the layer of sparkles. The trees ARE very subtle so if the screen you are looking at is a little dark then you may not see them. Sorry about that. Will try to remember!   Posted: 05/27/2020 17:14:20
