About the Image(s)

This grab-shot was taken in the womens' washroom in Buttonwillow Civil War Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN. I don't ordinarily whip out my phone in restrooms, but since I was the only person there, I couldn't pass this up. It wasn't possible to get a good angle in the tight doorway, so the first thing I did in Photoshop was straighten using "Edit>skew" then crop it. On a top layer, (to remove bright edges) I added a gaussian-blurred vignette and masked the center part out where the doors were. Finally, I just sharpened it.

Great image! very unusual. The colors and sharpness are good; glad there was nobody else in the BR.   Posted: 01/13/2020 15:37:31

Excellent editing Pat. A whimsical display - I wonder if they have a corresponding one in the men's?   Posted: 01/13/2020 18:01:48

I heard from my husband, they did. But I didn't go in there to see for myself. ;-)   Posted: 01/25/2020 11:58:43

Hi Pat, I LOVE this!...so feminine ! It lends itself to distorting the perspective...have you thought of cropping in each end then stretching the image so that it becomes more distorted? Phill   Posted: 01/14/2020 05:46:05

I hadn't considered stretching it, but that's a workable idea. Thanks for mentioning it.   Posted: 01/25/2020 12:35:20

What a fun image! Glad you didn't pass this up. I like all your edits and would only suggest a tighter crop (left and right) into the metal.   Posted: 01/14/2020 20:14:37

Fun image. This is a good reminder that opportunity for good images may be anywhere. Being prepared and looking is important. Well done. I like the colors and all the different lines.

Your edits are spot on for me.   Posted: 01/17/2020 08:19:55
