About the Image(s)

These images were taken a couple of years ago with a Samsung S8.

The flag layer, is a flag from a local museum. The image of the boy was taken in Milwaukee near the Art Museum on the lake front.. The artwork is called Pledge Allegiance and consists of six youth around a flag pole. The flag pole seen is in the distance behind the statue, not apart of it. I edited them in Snapseed for some simple color adjustments and layered them in Adobe Photoshop Mix, an Android app on my phone.

Very moving. I like the selection of images for layers, and your edits worked well. What impresses me most is the softness of the flag flowing across the (bronze?) statue and resulting textures. Nice! I need to investigate the app you used.   Posted: 01/10/2020 09:57:03

A strong image. the boy's expression of awe for the wonder of what the pledge means is wonderful. Good composition and color. The Museum might like to have a copy of this image.   Posted: 01/13/2020 16:09:36

That's a great image and obviously well thought out and executed. Definitely has emotional content. I really like it.   Posted: 01/13/2020 17:33:20

A very strong image! I LOVE the colour combinations. At first I had the impression that the arm going up was the Statue of liberty....which goes well with the flag etc! Phill   Posted: 01/14/2020 05:37:14

Ruth is right; I bet the museum would love your composited image. I know I do. The way you were able to get more detail out of the boy in the statue makes it look like he is a real child, instead of a silhouette. The angle of the flag in the final image is eye-catching, too.   Posted: 01/25/2020 12:02:55
