About the Image(s)

Our Grand daughter stayed with us over the Christmas break. She was standing in the bathroom, looking in the mirror. I put a layer of swimming pool water over the top of her in Superimpose then I reduced the colour saturation, also in Superimpose.
The main photo of her was taken at the Christmas Eve dinner in a restaurant.
The photos were taken with my iPhone.
Thank you for having me in your group!

Welcome to the group Phillipa. Great image! The swimming pool water gives a dreamy feeling. Nice job on the blending of the multiple images. I like how the profile image on the left leads me through the rest of the image.   Posted: 01/09/2020 18:29:40

Thanks for the welcome and comments, Carl!   Posted: 01/14/2020 05:25:09

I recall seeing your creativity in Group 51, Phillipa! Welcome!
This is very pretty! I can imagine all sorts of things going through her mind, perhaps reflecting wistfully. You are most creative and gathered nice pieces for the story. Lovely edits with the water and precisely placed not disturbing faces. The water also adds a sweet feminine, lacy effect. Would it be possible to add a bit more on the left so more of her beautiful hair is shown? As is, it is lovely and will be cherished by family.   Posted: 01/10/2020 10:29:37

Hi Belinda, Thank you for your welcome! Unfortunately I was sitting next to Chelsea and concentrating on my Great Granddaughter! This was all I captured this time but I thought it suited the image idea that I had!

Welcome, Phillipa, to group 86. This is a very creative edit and I like it every much. This will certainly be a keepsake for your granddaughter. I hope I can find the Superimpose link. Sorry to hear about all the awful fires you all are having there in Australia; are you all in that area?   Posted: 01/13/2020 15:52:35

Thanks for the welcome, Ruth (my second name!) For many months we had a very smoky atmosphere but now we have had some rain ...in our area and there were no fires near us. One of my friends lives down on the South Coast of NSW and she was told to leave her home immediately. Luckily her son was with her at the time and I think her house was pretty safe.   Posted: 01/14/2020 05:28:16

Hello and welcome Phillipa. I think I have seen some of your fabulous creative work through MGPS - this one is way up there. A beautiful dreamy image.   Posted: 01/13/2020 17:43:40

Glad you joined our group, Phillipa. This is a fascinating image. I would have enjoyed seeing the original shot(s) you composited to create it, too. The surreal pinky tone of the water is more flattering to the young lady's skin than the probable original aqua. It's a clever idea for your composition and I'm sure it made a hit with your granddaughter.   Posted: 01/25/2020 12:16:09
