About the Image(s)

Taken with my iPhone at the British Museum in London on 9/12/2019. This was a photo I was going to delete, but then I thought maybe the colors and the blur could work with some edits. I used Snapseed to edit. Cropped and adjusted the color a little.

I had to look twice! I couldn't be sure the man was real. Your edits really worked well to create a ghostly image. I love the colors and eerie atmosphere. I might try straightening the doorway and right side, but I go back-and-forth on that. I actually like the angle, too. If you do alter it, the perspective tool in Snapseed is pretty easy to use.   Posted: 10/05/2019 17:53:24

Good decision not to delete. I agree with Belinda's comments on straightening. Should you or shouldn't you? But as it is, the strange tilt adds to the eerie feeling you have captured and the muted tones add further to the atmosphere. Do you think you would lose anything by cropping down from the top and getting rid of the corner?   Posted: 10/07/2019 23:45:49

Your edits worked very well. I like it as is without straightening. I think it adds to the look, I like the ionic capital in the top right. If it was straightened I think you would loose that.   Posted: 10/09/2019 05:12:31

Is that the spirit of Beverly Sackler after visiting hours?   Posted: 10/11/2019 19:06:12

Great image for Halloween! You put a lot of thought in this one. I think I would not change the angle... Good colors. The museum would enjoy a copy of this....   Posted: 10/12/2019 11:29:27
